Mohammad A Abdullah
ABA Assistant Coach & Club Welfare Officer
I am an Assistant coach, involved with preparation of sessions, and designing routines for the boxers and non-boxers alike. Being a former boxer myself enables me to have the right understanding of training needs and boxing preparation. Some may question my experience, but with the guidance of my seniors and my enthusiasm I will aim high.
I also undertake one to one coaching sessions; I enjoy coaching and believe in investing in young people. I enjoy working with the young people in our gym and believe we can achieve much more within the sport and within the community.
My role as the club welfare officer means I am in charge of general admin- consents, issues, complaints etc. If you have any questions please contact me - I will be more than happy to help you.

Luke Cowdell
ABA Boxing Leader
With the support of fellow and senior staff; I have recently qualified as a 'Boxing Leader' through the ABAE. This enables me to help tutor our novice/ amateur boxers and give support to our busy coaching team. In the future I hope to become a fully qualified ABA Coach.
At this moment in time I am studying Media & Cultural studies at Wolverhampton University. Once graduated it's my ambition to teach these subjects at A- Level. I enjoy working with communication systems, I believe it is important to learn and use modern technology and I also enjoy the subject - and obviously I am good at it!
Helping out with the junior and senior members has given me a valuable insight into what its like to work young people, it is hard work but very rewarding. I hope my efforts can help the young people of today to achieve their goals through sport.

In particular, I am interested in women’s boxing and helping to improve their skills, technique and fitness levels. I believe that boxing is a great sport which helps to develop more than just your health; it also instils discipline and helps to develop confidence.
Outside of sport, I am a Law graduate and I am currently undertaking a postgraduate diploma in Social Sciences. I currently work full time as a Personal Assistant but would like to develop a career working with young people.
