Bilal Sajid (Junior Boxing Squad)
My name is Bilal Sajid, I am 15 years old and I attend Lordswood Boys School.
I am in year 10 student and hope to study law in the near future. I like to play football, cricket and most of all I enjoy taking part in boxing. I believe that sport is very important for everyone, if you are young - it will help you in the future to keep fit and healthy , if you are older it provides you with activities away from the stress of life.
Boxing requires hard work, without hard work, you won't get very far. Our coaching team helps us reach our potential and helps us stay enthusiastic throughout the sessions. Muhammad Ali said “I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion"
The great thing about the club is that everyone is very friendly, you spend your time getting healthy in a fun and constructive manner - instead of sitting in front of a TV screen,etc...Windmill ABC...honestly, it cannot get any better than it is now, it is the best!

Mohammed Mustapha (Senior Boxing Squad)
My name is Mohammed Mustapha, I am 18 years old and I am currently studying at Sandwell College - I am currently studying B-Tec National Award in ICT. That involves a lot about computers and creating games, website designs, and other programmes etc.
I love boxing -seeing my brother when I was a little kid made me want to do boxing so that I could show people that I can be a good boxer as well as he is. I attend the club because I want to reach my dream of becoming a boxer and being in the Olympics some time.
I always like being active and fit, therefore Windmill Amateur Boxing Club is the best place to be for me. It involves many things that help you keep fit and in shape, boxing is all about learning the skills and using the skills and improving on your ability, speed and strength its not all about going in the ring to knock-out your opponent its about movements and scoring points -it’s a technique/skill sport.
Our boxing club is one of a kind!!

Andrew Perry (Fitness Class)
I’m 23 years old and am currently working growing and selling plants alongside studying for a Research Masters Degree in History at Birmingham University. When I’m not doing either of the above I love watching and playing cricket.
I went to school with one of the coaches Abu who invited me to join the club last January. I have been attending once a week on a Tuesday evening for one hour since then. Its quality, a good way to stay fit, I feel a lot better in myself since I started. I’ve found it a lot easier to keep up with the training when you’re doing it as a team, every week. There’s a really good atmosphere and banter with the lads as well.
To be honest I think that our club can only get bigger and better as more people hear how good it is!

Jacob Ircow (Senior Boxing Squad)
My name is Jakub Ircow and I'm 15 years old.I'm a student at the George Dixon International School and IT is my favourite subject.
My favourite sports are boxing and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). I want to be boxer or an Mixed Martial Arts fighter or a web-site designer. I like boxing because I can compete against other skilful boxers, where my physical and mental ability is always tested. In boxing is being able to think under pressure, having patience and discipline are very important to be good in this demanding sport.
Boxing is not only about hitting the opponent but also thinking about what to do to actually win- this involves scoring points, defence and footwork all known as "ringcraft" - I think that Windmill ABC is a really good boxing gym because it helps other people just like me to get strong and fit - the main thing is its fun!.
I think that our boxing club is perfect!

Abu-Ubaida Abdullah (Junior Boxing Squad)
My name is Abu-Ubaida Abdullah, I am 13 years old.
My favourite sports are boxing and football and I also enjoy going out with my friends to relax and chill out. I attend school at Lordswood Boy's School where my favourite subject is Science - I want to be a doctor in the future so that I can help others. I like boxing because its fun and keeps you really healthy and active. I enjoy going to the boxing club because I have made many good friends there, its really fun and sometimes hard work. We take part in all sorts of fun activities and sometimes we make important decisions regarding our activity in the club.
I think that our club is really important as it keeps the young people off the streets, we get a chance to achieve and have fun whilst being safe. I want to be a future champion and then maybe even coach boxing when I am older - so that I can help other people to achieve their potential.
